Barb's notes

The work of a Fellowship services contractor consists of the following:

  • Maintaining data on a SQL database that sits on the CoDA server. Updates are emailed to coda_fs@hotmail.com and the Fellowship Services contractor uses an online interface to process the updates. The on-line adminsitration area can be accessed at http://www.coda.org/coda/admin/login.asp The password is ********.
  • Creating new meetings on the database and mailing "New Meeting Starter Packets" and a "Service Manual" to the mail contact listed in the New meeting information. To see the information that is required to register a new meeting, go here: http://www.coda.org/howto.html
  • Processing all email meeting updates, new meeting registrations, CoDA Information requests, and meeting deletions. Meeting updates are mailed to meetings@coda.org and forwarded to a hotmail account at coda_fs@hotmail.com
  • Receiving snail mail updates, new meeting registrations, CoDA Information requests, and meeting deletions from Gopher Express and updating the database accordingly.
  • Separating all prisoner mail and forwarding to the appropriate person
  • Separating all CoRe correspondence and forwarding to CoRe
  • Forwarding all email and snail mail World updates to Roy Locke.
  • Separate all 7th tradition donations and process them. Processing 7th tradition donations consists of entering the receipt information, donation, meeting number, and state into a database; stamping all 7th checks with the deposit stamp; forwarding the 7th tradition deposits to Wells Fargo; stuffing receipt envelopes with the "CoDA 7th Tradition Receipt"; stamping and maiing 7th receipts to the appropriate person.
  • Weekly visits to post office to send priorty mail items (new meeting information, information requests, and 7th tradition receipts)
  • Updating data and sending quarterly reports to laison (Excel sheet attached)

That lists the duties in a nutshell. Judi Toop and Sheila Holland could provide additional information. My time committments varied from month to month. On average, I would say that I dedicated 12-16 hours per month.

I hope you find this information helpful.
