Procedure
Doug - Here are my notes: January 2007 State Meeting Checklist
1. Confirm that the current contact person that the group is still meeting. If there are changes, get the correct information and ask them to follow up within a month to be sure the updated information is correct. (When coda.org gets updated info, it sometimes takes a while for it to get updated in the database. It's impossible to tell how quickly some of the updates will be able to be processes.)
2. Ask them if they are still contacts for the group. It's best to have 2 contact people, e-mail (first choice), telephone (second choice), USPS (third choice). With two contact people, if one person disappears, there's still a way to contact the group. Make sure they understand how important this is to the fellowship.
3. Get permission from each contact to use their email address and contact info if they choose to be listed on coda.org. They can also join CoDAFL which is not published. They can join CoDAFL@yahoogroups.com by sending an email to
Suggest that they create a new email address just for use on CoDAFL@yahoogroups.com, through hotmail or other online email service.
Also note that codafl@yahoogroups.com is available for any CoDA member in the state of Florida. Ask if they would report that to their next two or three group conscience meetings so the information can get broadcast.
4. Ask if they know of any new groups in the area - ask THEM to contact the new groups they know of and have a member of those groups register at www.coda.org, and to email you with the details.
(7th tradition donation issue tabled for later: Board writes the groups to ask how they handle their reminder of the % if no local than 90% to State at most 2 months prudent reserve.)

What do we do with the messages now - delete the words or keep adding?
Keep adding. You can and change text and even add new pages if you need. More on that later.
